There are drunkards of love and loves who decide to get drunk together. Whether it is to relieve the stress of a long day at work, relax a little or live in the heat of a night of drinks, every day more couples are choosing to drink together.
Strange as it may seem, everything indicates that couples who get drunk together are more likely to have a happy, healthy and lasting marriage.
According to a study published by Journals of Gerontology: Psychology SciencesCouples who drink together last longer. These results were obtained after conducting more than 3,000 surveys of couples who have been married for more than 33 years.
The researchers concluded that couples who drank together were better off than those marriages in which only one of the two drank.
According to the study, couples where only one of the two drinks are more likely to have marital problems, especially if it is the woman who gets drunk while the husband remains sober. However, some couples with healthy relationships also turned out, even though neither of them is fond of drinking.
"We are not sure why this phenomenon occurs, but it is possible that couples who have more leisure activities together have a quality relationship."
Dr. Kira Birditt, author of the study.
